Tulasi Gowda played the responsibility of tree planter for almost 14 years. During this, Tulsi planted countless trees and plants. Along with this, he also played an important role in the conservation of biological diversity.

Karnataka Rajyotsava award is given yearly to citizens over sixty of Karnataka State who is distinguished in their respective fields. She reaffirmed her purpose for her actions by saying that while Tulasi is glad to have received the Padma Shri award.
