(PRESS RELEASE) – More than 70 youths from the community of Dennery, received a word of encouragement and faith from the Youth Power Group (YPG) and they were very happy with that initiative.

The YPG prepared food and snacks for them and at the end of the event, they played football.

Prayers and counselling were made for all the youths and for the community as well. The YPG Saint Lucia has the knowledge that we need to work with the spirituality of the youths as well to make them better adults tomorrow. Once many of them have faced abuse, break up in their family, lack of self-esteem, depression and many other problems.

The work of the YPG in Dennery has the aim of keeping the youths far from drugs, facing family problems and dealing with any other kind of troubles.

“The parents were happy to see their children having some fun time with the youths from Castries and Vieux Fort.” said the coordinator of the YPG Leandro Santos.

This work will continue in different communities helping the youths in need. On the 24th of September, the Youth Power Group will be at the Boys Training Centre so that they can bring hope to those who have lost their freedom while interacting with the youths and have some fun time.
