YPG Saint Lucia: 127 youths free from drugs

(PRESS RELEASE) – 2017 was a great year for the youths of the YPG Saint Lucia.

Despite the problems plaguing Saint Lucia and the growing rate of homicides, more than hundreds of youths that has attended the meetings of the YPG (Youth Power Group) every Sunday, has learnt to refrain from troubles and bad companies which contributes too many youths taking the wrong path and decisions.

“We have received youths with different problems, such as, suicidal thoughts, youths that run away from home, youths with addiction problems and relationship problems as well”, said the Coordinator of the YPG in Saint Lucia Williams DaCosta

The Coordinator said that his great desire is to go in schools and show to every youth that there is a way out for their problems.

“I would like to implore all teachers or principals to open the doors of their school for the YPG, for the impact derived from YPG St. Lucia speak volumes. Who better to inspire our youths if not fellow youths like themselves who has overcome? For more information about the YPG and our activities, you can contact us and we will be eager to make ourselves available to you and your school.”

The Youth Power Group (YPG) is in Saint Lucia for more than six years and their work has made great changes in communities and in young people`s life.
