Dear Editor: I would like to file a report on a matter which has left me feeling sick to my stomach.

This morning, a little after 11, I went into a business place in Blue Coral and purchased a small Coke costing $2.85, a cheese roll for $1.45, and a meat parte costing $1.45. After finishing my drink I decided to open the cup to eat a piece of ice. That’s when I discovered a dead fly in the cup.

I was so shocked that I took it immediately to the young lady who served me. She asked me if I would like to speak to the supervisor. She then proceeded to get the manager, who rudely informed me that I can only get a refund for the soft drink.

When I asked for the glass back, he said the young lady had slipped and fell with the glass so he did not have time to see it.

I agreed to the refund but whilst waiting there for the money I decided to make a report to the Health Department at the Waterfront. However, I found out that the department’s office is at Marisule so this is the reason I am informing persons out there to be careful of where you eat.

I felt that I reacted too quickly before I took a picture. It was awful and I still feel sick to the stomach.

Concerned

  5. the owners of that place are rude, they don't treat their customers fairly, the food which they sell has lost it's taste from all the years that they have been opened selling to people and the manager of that branch is a pig. that's the second time something like that has occurred at this branch. the first time a young boy from the Entrepot School found a roach in his milk shake and now this. He should be happy to treat her nicely and shut her up with a good monetary compensation but instead his piggish ways got the better of him and he acted like a fool. You got wealth because people trusted you and bought food from you but with if you lost their trust and they decide not to buy from you because of this form of nastiness at your location and also file some good law suits against you don't you think you might be out of business and on broke street. Mr Manager of this place put your customers first and try to see that this doesn't happen again and most importantly learn to treat people better than how you are treating them now because you need them to keep on making your wealth and having your family living large you short piggish brat. Clean up your shit.

  6. one should should imagine the amount of insects and other stuff people eat and drink in the fast food outlets.i think the answer to that problem is very simple just eat at home there is nothing better than home made.

  7. deep breath, u can never be safe no where neither can u be safe eating out. funny the person who carried the cup away fell and left no traces behind. And what is a refund! when your health is worth more than the refund. Stay away and prepare your meals at home even in your business schedule it will save your life and you'll have less expense.

  8. There is a certain eating establishment at Blue Coral I used to eat at when I am in Castries and on the go as I had no time to prepare something at home and lately I have been staying away from there because something tells me to do just that. My gut tells me that this is the same establishment this person is referring to....smh

  9. Found a fly once in my stewed salt-fish...after I had eaten most of the meal. I bought it next to the wharf in little van there. That was years ago though... Talk about sick to your stomach.

  12. When you visit??? You think it is any better where you are??? It is bad when you find things like that in your food/drink . . . no excuse for this! But don't make it seem as though it doesn't happen in the States (where I think you are). Even worse in NY!!!!!

    • You just assume the person in the States, what America do you uh? They could have meant when they visit Blue Coral or Castries from anywhere could be from Vieux Fort, they didn't specify. Remember Assumption Is The Mother of all [email protected]
