(NEW YORK POST) – A Nebraska woman vanished following a date with someone she met online, according to her family.
Sydney Loofe, 24, was reported missing Thursday after she failed to show up to work in Lincoln, according to the Lincoln Journal Star.
Authorities said the 5-foot-7 blonde posted a photo of herself on Snapchat the night before captioned “ready for my date,” news station KLKN-TV reported.
She was last seen Wednesday in Wilber, which is about 40 miles away from her residence, according to police.
“The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are concerning,” Lincoln Police Chief Jeff Bliemeister said at a Tuesday press conference, according to the Omaha World-Herald.
Her family circulated a flier saying they believe she was abducted — and noted that her phone was disabled and there was no activity in her bank account.
“We’ve had very few leads but haven’t lost our hope that she will return safely soon,” her mom Susie Loofe wrote on Facebook.
