Woman accused of poisoning boyfriend for more attention

Vickie Jo Mills, a Pennsylvania resident in the USA, is accused of poisoning her boyfriend on several occasions because she wanted more attention.

According to the Huffington Post, the victim, 45-year-old Thurman Edgar Nesbitt III, had suffered from a series of unexplained illnesses including vomiting, blood pressure fluctuations and breathing difficulties.

Back in July of this year, the victim’s doctor began suspecting that his patient was being poisoned by a primary ingredient used in an over-the-counter eye drops, which was revealed after blood samples, confirmed his theory.

Police investigators stated that Mills has since confessed to the crime, however she claimed that it was “never meant to kill” and she “only wanted him to pay more attention to her”.

The 33-year-old woman has been charged with aggravated assault, simple and reckless endangerment.
