Western Valley Carnival Queen Pageant set for Saturday

PRESS RELEASE – The Valley Carnival Queen Pageant Committee in collaboration with Dezole carnival band will on Saturday June 25th at the Jon Odlum Secondary School Auditorium host their second Miss Valley Carnival Queen pageant.

Five beautiful and talented young ladies will vie for this title, and after our first pageant last year, we expect an even bigger and better show in 2016. Showtime is 7pm and tickets cost only $35.00.

The pageant takes the usual format and the ladies will be judged on:

Best in Swimwear

Contestants are:

Carleen Isidore – Miss Cul De Sac
Frederika Frederick – Miss Marigot
Edel William – Miss Sarrot
Tricia Augustin – Miss Millet
Shanic Hippolyte – Miss Anse La Raye

Last year we saw people of all nearby communities come together to support the 7 contestants and at the end Miss Cassandra Pierre representing Cul de sac emerged victorious. Our goal to encourage young people from the valley and surrounding areas to showcase their talent and elevate themselves is fast becoming a reality.

We have seen some success, as the ladies from last year’s pageant have been presented a number of modelling opportunities.

All are invited to this spectacular event; we especially invite the talent scouts out there to see the magnitude of undiscovered talent found in the valley. We look forward to your continued support and promise you a night of suspense, glamour intelligence and sophistication as we present “The Splendor of the valley.”

  1. I don't like those outfits for the poster. Doesn't have to be a gown but something a little more on the "elegant" side. ANYhow, best of luck to you all.

    • Agreed.
Look at the font used to say ' Valley Carnival Queen". The font evokes images of elegance, but the presentation of the girls says differently.

    • Exaaaactly!!!!

The background is the only classy and elegant thing in the poster. Seriously pageant organisers, this poster should not have been approved or released.
