PRESS RELEASE – On Monday, October 05, 2015, about twenty-two people walked from the Caribbean Cinema’s car park to St. Mary’s College and back.

This group has been doing this annual walk on the Thanksgiving holiday to raise funds for C.A.R.E. (Center for Adolescent Renewal and Education).

Some of us were happy to walk to St Mary’s College and back to the car park and we thought nothing of it, while the rest of us just managed the one-way trip, which was, in fact, the intended distance.

Our sponsored walk for the C.A.R.E. raised some useful funds to go towards the special needs of that worthy institution.

As co-ordinator of the Presentation Brothers Associates, which group organises the walk, I would personally like to thank the willing walkers who responded to our call to participate.

We absolutely rely on you each year and are as grateful for your active involvement. We sincerely appreciate the generosity of our loyal sponsors and yours.

Please convey our gratitude to all, and remind them:  We walked for C.A.R.E. and we’ll do it again next year!

  1. Good to see the French Ambassador and local community leaders keeping fit. We had to walk that long stretch after they closed the airport gates. Great job.
