CRAWLEY NEWS –  A man has appeared in court charged with attempting to smuggle two kilos of cocaine through Gatwick Airport after Class A drugs were discovered in the false bottom of a suitcase.

Border Force officers discovered the haul of cocaine on Sunday (April 17) when a passenger was stopped at the airport after arriving on a flight from St Lucia.

Following the seizure by Border Force at Gatwick Airport, the investigation has been passed to the National Crime Agency (NCA).

  3. St Vincent doesn't have direct flight to England because they don't have an international airport yet so they connect from St Lucia. So it look like the drugs come from St Lucia. Bags in transit don't get check by customs in St Lucia so that's why they find it in London. It is sad SAINT LUCIA have to be in the news for drugs in England again. VISA soon come if it is that.
