A post mortem examination on the body of a minibus driver, who died on the job, revealed that cardiac arrest was the cause of death.
Leslie Thomas, 42, also known as Snowflakes, who operated a minibus from Vieux Fort to Soufriere, died on September 19 while commuting his normal route.
A source close to the family told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) today that the post mortem was conducted on September 22 and his funeral will take place on Monday, October 6.
Reports are that Thomas began sweating profusely and requested the assistance of a passenger to transport him to the hospital.
According to officials at the Soufriere Fire Station they received a call at about 7 a.m that Thomas was in need of medical assistance.
Emergency services responded to the nearest location of the bus and transported Thomas to the Soufriere Hospital.
