Venezuela: Republic Plan began deployment with 115,000 members of the FANB

(RNV) – The Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, announced on Wednesday the deployment of the Republic Plan for the municipal elections this Sunday.

The operation will have 115,000 members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).

He also explained that the troops will be accompanied by 140,000 officials from different citizen security agencies.

“The articulation and coordination with the different organisms is important, especially with the Public Ministry, with whom we have defined the entire program of the Republic Plan”, he said.

The Minister congratulated and supported as an organism the workers of the National Electoral Council, who are deployed throughout the country for the election of 335 municipal representatives.

“These elections are the basis of democracy, are the capillaries, men and women who are closer to the people”, he said.
