Vehicular crash on the Morne

No one was seriously injured when two vehicles collided on the Morne, Castries earlier this evening (July 4).

Reports reaching St Lucia News Online (SNO) indicate that the crash occurred at about 6:35 p.m. when a green 1992 Suzuki Swift bearing registration number PA 2295 travelling in a southerly direction attempted to overtake a Toyota Hiace mini-bus.

Eyewitnesses told SNO that while trying to get ahead, a white mini-bus suddenly stopped in front of the green car to give way to another vehicle, which was coming from a different direction.

Upon realising that he would collide with that vehicle, the driver of the car swerved to the right and ended up in another lane, hitting a red mini-bus which was north bound.

The red mini-bus was driven by Gabriel Rominus of Grand Ravine, Dennery, while the driver of the  car appeared to be agitated and refused to give his name or a comment. Two persons were onboard the red bus.

  2. 'Refused to give his name'; I could only conclude he had no official documents to drive this "collector" car of his!!

Please take your time on the road. We are FLESH AND BLOOD, the cars, buses, etal, are metals; they do not feel!!

More so, respect (if we can) the rules of the road, other drivers and passengers and pedestrians/innocent people.
