UWP to host prayer rally on Sunday

PRESS RELEASE – The United Workers’ Party is inviting all prayer warriors and those who seek spiritual inspiration for our beloved Saint Lucia to the Vigie Multi-Purpose Sports Complex on Sunday 17th April for an afternoon of praise and worship with the theme “Break Every Chain.”

Many Saint Lucians believe that we have lost our moral compass, but we can no longer afford to relinquish our traditional core values and morals with the excuse that the world has changed.

Every generation will have a different view of life, but our sense of what is right must remain at the centre of our lives. Acceptance and diversity does not mean that we turn a blind eye to what we know is wrong.

We cannot correct all the ills in society at the same time, but we can each start with ourselves. “Break Every Chain” is a starting point to effect that change.

The prayer rally will commence at 3.00 p.m. with songs of inspiration from a mass choir.

Representatives from all 17 constituencies will offer up prayers and there will be motivational messages by various denominations. The afternoon will conclude with songs of praise led by gospel artiste Shirleyann Cyril-Mayers, gospel rapper AJ and many others.

All are invited no matter what your faith, to come to the Vigie Multi-Purpose Sports Complex this Sunday and send up your prayers for Saint Lucia. Bless up!

  1. We need God in everything that we do. We have left Him out of all aspects of our lives so today we are facing all these difficult times. Time to put Him back so we can live a God filled and blessed life. God takes delight in genuine prayer and worship. Please put all your differences aside and come out to praise and worship the Lord. Our island needs this we are in turmoil, we need the Redeemer. Forget political colors.

God is always there watching His creation falter, desiring us to ASK
of him, but we go about our lives as one blind. WAKE UP people do some
thing different in your life. Come back home and repent, ask God to forgive
our shortcomings and He is always good to give us grace because He loves us.

  3. What we need is to turn our eyes upon Jesus and turn away from our sins and accept Him as our Saviour. That is the only way. The gesture is good but individuals must follow up with action or else we are wasting our time.God is not mock.
