The United Workers Party (UWP) says the candlelight march and public meeting which were scheduled for Tuesday, December 10 have been postponed until further notice.
“The logistical arrangements necessary for hosting a meeting of such magnitude would not be reasonably satisfied before Tuesday,” the party said.
“The party understands the excitement and enthusiasm brought about by the announcement from our political leader on RCI’s News Spin and DBS’ News Maker Live, however, we assure you that the new date selected will see an even bigger and better event than what was planned initially. Again, we regret any inconvenience caused.”

Typical foot in mouth of the leader. Enthusiasm is not what should drive a leader but sound decision making emanating from a settled thought process, discussion and planning. Clearly he had not planned that march before he spoke. In essence he mis-spoke.
