UWP continues on quest to restructure

The national executive of the United Workers Party continues on its quest to restructure the party when it meets with the Choiseul/Saltibus UWP constituency branch this weekend.

The meeting, which will be held at the Mongouge Club 60 Building on Sunday, is to update the local branch executive and supporters of its progress to date and its plans for the upcoming year.

It will also afford members a forum for sharing ideas and identifying issues affecting the constituents.

Members, supporters and well-wishers of the United Workers Party are all invited to this important meeting where they will have the opportunity to engage in a question and answer session with political leader Allen Chastanet as well as chairman Ezekiel Joseph. The meeting is scheduled to commence promptly at 4:00 pm.

  1. Allen Chastanet's phony UWP strategy.
Mature lads like me are amazed at how easily Allen’s UWP is left bare, exposed to air, like a chicken coop taken to the slaughterhouse. I say this to illustrate what I see taking place in a party that had such high hopes for its fluffy political leader.

  2. UWP naked press conference

The unending “restructuring” is weak. It lacks the historical understanding of the UWP’s winning ways, more so with foreign communication experts and motivational speakers and a political leader who cannot identify with the masses, without a seat in parliament and claims to know it all.

Allen Chastanet does not understand UWP culture and what makes UWP voters excited.

  3. I am happy they are reaching out to hear the people's voice face to face rather than being a rep with no representation. I appreciate that even if the season is on they have not turned their back but come and listen to the people's cry. This is how representatives suppose to operate. By now Lorne should have held a meeting with his people to discuss what he is going to do about the roads and inform whether there will be any blocking of holes before the Christmas itself which would have been a great gift to the people travelling from far places to visit relatives, friends, the seniors and others. Put yourself in these persons shoes and say whether it is squeezing your toes.

    • What you talking about. I am flambeau and have always voted for them but there comes a time when enough is enough. Things are hard and I don't have no plans wasting my time hearing more politics this season. People are not foolish they seeing what the party is trying there its like they want us to be grounded in politcs for 12 months a year without a break. Choops
