UPDATED: Body discovered in River Dorée, Choiseul identified

(SNO) – The police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered in the community of River Dorée, Choiseul on Monday, July 9, 2018.

He has been identified as Simon “Lordwin” Modeste, 54, a resident of Tete Morne, Choiseul and originally from Caffiere, Choiseul.

His body was found in the bushes by Dorée River, around 10 p.m., and pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor.

A relative told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) that Modeste is suspected of falling to his death from a breadfruit tree.

“He came from work at about 3 p.m. They said he left to go look for pig food,” the relative said.

Having not returned home for quite an unusually long time, relatives went in search of Modeste who was found face-down.

According to the relative, when the body was turned over, it appeared he bled from the ears and nose.

Modeste did taxi work at a resort in Soufriere, according to the relative.

  1. So sad!!!! A real gentleman and a gentle soul. You will be greatly missed. RIP.

  2. New Testament Verse of the Day:

But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.

    –1 Timothy 1:16

    • Tell "Timothy"... there are no categories of sin...talking about worst sinners...chpz... How eternal is life? Enlighten me..... I need to talk to anyone who has actually met God and plz walk a few selfies of you 2..?

      • You are too funny thanks for an early laugh while drinking my coffee on my day off from Pembroke Pine FL.

      • An observation that I have concerning you though. The fact that you speak on "categories" and sin itself having none. You seem to have been around religious circles in times past... am I not correct? Obviously you'd have left such circles. Whatever you're reason...that's you. You now believe differently. How do you know your date of birth? Is this Doctor still alive today to prove that? What method is used to verify this otherwise?
