  1. Very sad rest in peace little one.x.

  2. WTF can the report please say what the child died of in English

  3. This is sad. Sepsis is quite serious and so is meningitis. It is important to keep around you very clean to avoid those conditions. Unclean places breed bacteria and people do get in contact with the bacteria where your body has an immune response to the bacteria which can in turn kill. So those conditions are linked to proper hygiene. Since becoming aware of the seriousness of these illnesses my place is kept even more spotless and bleach is never far out of my reach. Sepsis kills more people than aids, cancer or heart attack combined, there is serious concern about its effects now. It can be prevented by always making sure the spaces around you are hygienic.

  4. So sad – RIP little one.

Can’t imagine how the parents are feeling (:-(

Paula, you’re obviously on the internet just copy the enclosed and paste it in a search engine and then read.

“aspiration pneumonitis due to sepsis secondary to meningitis”.

  5. Oh my goodness, I would have never known of this if it wasn’t for this situation.

  6. ok ok ok time out i have the common sense to go and look at these terms on google to see what it means but for those who dont at least can yall speak english and say maybe what causes the persons death example did this happen by one of the parents sleeping on the child thus preventing the child to breath cause i know some people are lost here. yes the baby died due to “aspiration pneumonitis due to sepsis secondary to meningitis”. but what caused this.

  7. Pneumonia is a breathing condition in which there is swelling or an infection of the lungs or large airways.

Aspiration pneumonia occurs when food, saliva, liquids, or vomit is breathed into the lungs or airways leading to the lungs, instead of being swallowed into the esophagus and stomach.

  8. A little explanation of the illness would of been nice sno! Break it down in layman terms.Poor baby may she rest in peace.

  9. Explain what. You can go online….well do your research for hell sake

  10. So how long was the child sick before she developed sepsis? Did the parents assume that the child only had the flu or was the child misdiagnosed at the health centre or hospital?

  11. Aspiration pneumonitis and pneumonia are caused by inhaling toxic substances, usually gastric contents, into the lungs.

  12. Paul, please go back to school.

    • Dont be an Ass wipe, if u know what it is then just explain, im sure the minute u saw it u used MR. GOOGLE yourself

  13. What is that can someone pls explain

    • Google the damn thing fool

    • Aspiration pneumonia occurs when food, saliva, liquids, or vomit is breathed into the lungs or airways leading to the lungs, instead of being swallowed into the esophagus and stomach. This leads to a bacterial infection that in this baby’s case led to sepsis which is blood poisoning. The body responded to the infection in a way that contaminated itself. However, sad as it is, this all is secondary to meningitis which the baby had at first and would have already compromised her immune system. In a nutshell, the meningitis led to all the other complications.
What i do not understand is how the meningitis at least, was not detected earlier. That baby would have had a high fever, cry a lot, be irritable, and most likely would refuse to eat, and sleep, sleep, sleep…
This is just a sad case. My condolences to the family.

    • Google it!
Meningitis due to an infection can cause a serious condition called sepsis. Sometimes called blood poisoning, sepsis is the body’s often deadly response to infection or injury. Sepsis kills and disables millions and requires early suspicion and rapid treatment for survival.

Sepsis and septic shock can result from an infection anywhere in the body, such as pneumonia, influenza, or urinary tract infections. Worldwide, one-third of people who develop sepsis die. Many who do survive are left with life-changing effects, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic pain and fatigue, and organ dysfunction (organs don’t work properly) and/or amputations.

    • I agree that they using too much medical jargon in that Press Release. Like they want to confuse the public.
