According to a police release, on Friday, February 1, 2013 at about 8 am, officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department and the Major Crimes Unit responded to a report at Bisee, Castries.
On arrival, the officers discovered the body of Garnier behind a house at Bisee, Castries. She was lying face down in a pool of blood. Her legs were bound together and her throat slashed.
The body was pronounced dead on the scene then transported to Victoria Hospital Mortuary.
A post mortem examination was conducted on the body of the deceased on Friday, February 1, 2013. The cause of death was hemorrhagic shock secondary to multiple incisions.
The deceased was last seen alive at about 9:15 pm on Thursday, January 31, 2013.
The police are carrying out an investigation into the matter.
No one has been arrested in relation to this incident.
