Police said charges are expected to be laid against a 19-year-old male who is accused of hitting another teenager in the head during a fight in Grace, Vieux Fort on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 about 7 p.m.
Police said 18-year-old Danive James of Grace, Vieux Fort is currently in a coma at the Intensive Care Unit of St. Jude’s Hospital.
James, also known as Dave, sustained a blow to the temple during the altercation, police said.
Residents in the area told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) that a stone was used to hit James.
“Dave was at a shop near his home buying a phone card. While stepping out a fight broke out and a stone was used to hit him in the head. He fell to the ground without a word. He never spoke a word after that,” a resident said.
The accused is now in police custody.

Who says its not done, Son of Helen? It is done, but we need to remember that people make choices as they grow. This is not a quick fix situation, but a process where persons are called to exercise tolerance and sometimes they choose not to. Its sad this young man is now dead because of the actions of another. RIP.

Have they done an MRI to see what damage is in the brain? Getting hit in the temple area usually causes bleeding in the brain and can be fatal.
CT scan rather than MRI in such cases
