UPDATE: St Lucia, St Vincent rattled by earthquake

The Trinidad-based Seismic Research Centre at the University of the West Indies (UWI) has confirmed that an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.9 shook St. Lucia and neighbouring St. Vincent and the Grenadines last evening, Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012.

There were no reports of deaths or damage on any of the two Caribbean islands, according to a CMC report.

The Centre, according to the CMC report, said the earthquake occurred at 7:34 pm north east of St Lucia and was at a depth of 78 km.
