UPDATE: Shooting victim in critical condition – police

A man who was shot during an alleged domestic dispute in Bois Patat, Castries yesterday, Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013 is currently in critical condition at Victoria Hospital.

Police said 45-year-old Eldon Simon, aka Kay Lay Lay of Bois Patat, Castries, sustained gunshot wound (s) to the lower part of the body Tuesday morning.

“Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department are currently investigating the circumstances surround the shooting,” a police press release stated.

An eyewitness told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) that Simon was shot as a result of a domestic dispute involving a woman and another man.

Reliable sources told SNO that the police were only informed of the incident when Simon was hospitalised.

  5. Critical condition obviously. What do expect if you left on a bed at Victoria. I've told my family if ever I fall ill take me to the vet they will do a better job

    • i hope u never end up on a bed in vh or in a condition like that. is it the staff that caused the man to be in critical condition? educate yourself about gunshot injuries. its always easy for your'll to blame vh staff but never recognize the hard work they do n how they try their best on a daily basis. since you're so critical i'd love to see you put yourself in the shoes of a nurse or doctor and do better.
