A man is nursing multiple injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Union Sunday evening.
Reports are that the victim was the lone occupant of a vehicle that crashed into a utility pole, breaking it.
The accident occurred at around 8:30 p.m.
An eyewitness told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) that he was one of the first persons on the scene.
“I was driving next to him, in opposite directions …. he was going around the turn, to the stretch in Union, coming from the cinema area, driving pass me. I heard a crack under his car and then a bang,” the eyewitness said.
“The bang was him slamming into a rubble wall which caused him to accelerate and slam into another wall then the pole,” he said.
The victim, who is reportedly from Garrand, Babonneau, is in stable condition after sustaining bruises to his face, and he was also complaining of pain to his arm and back, according to officials.
