UPDATE: Details of Bexon Highway accident, no deaths reported

Police sources have revealed the details of a non-fatal accident which occurred on the Bexon Highway bout 6:30 pm on Wednesday, April 9.

Reports are that the accident involved two SUVs: one with registration number PE5971, driven by Edward Serieux of Mon Repos, Micoud, and the other, registration number PA7033, driven by Raymond Lilburn of Morne Road, Castries.

As a result of the impact, PE5971 received extensive damage to its right front fender, right front and rear door, front windscreen, rear suspension, axel and bonnet.

PA7033 received damage to its right front bumper, fender, bonnet, suspension, right front wheel, left front fender, left front bumper, left front door and left rear door.

Lilburn sustained serious injuries to his left arm and the driver of the other vehicle received minor injuries to his forehead, nose and right shoulder.

  1. St lucians can be so ignorant please learn the facts prior to posting reckless comments my uncle was one of the most causcious drivers his accident was due to medical issues. Please allow us the respect to grieve without such negativity RLW

  5. For a while i thoughr drivers on the island was being a little more careful biy was i wrong. Some comment said he may have had a heart attack. This he could not have predickted but we still have to be cautious on the roads. DRIVE CAREFUL NO PHONES OR TEXTING
    OR DRIVING WHILE DRUNK.
    THAT SHOULD BE THE LAW ON THE ISLAND.RIP MY FELLOW ST.LUCIAN.

  10. Why the hell them drivers drive so fast in a populated area?? Them fools just dont hear and people want to blame the police and government for their stupidity,total madness.Drivers if you dont care about your own lives think about others own.How speed bumps can prevent that?They will hv to put them on the whole highways and beyond and some idiot will still have accidents.I am pissed off.

    • You have no clue of what you are talking about, so please shut the hell up. Lilburn was my brother and passed away due to his injuries. Preliminary results is a heart attack or faint spell which caused the accident. Know what the hell you are talking about before you open your mouth.
