Police said the autopsy on Hector Gordon, who died in a house fire in La Clery on Tuesday, Nov. 6, will be conducted next week Monday to reveal the cause of death.
Neighbours say Gordon, also known as Darwin, had threatened to set the house on fire and kill himself.
At a press briefing this afternoon, Assistant Commissioner of Police Frances Henry told reporters that fire officers responded to a report of a house fire at about 3:30 p.m. yesterday.
Henry said a charred body was discovered in the rubble after the fire was extinguished.
She said a number of persons have been interviewed.
Yesterday SNO reported that six people were left homeless after the fire destroyed the house.
Gordon had lived with his common-law wife and their five children.
No one else was injured in the blaze, however a house nearby was damaged.
