Scene of the Balenbouche accident.

CANARIES: Accident occurred near the cemetery. St. Lucia News Online understands that the vehicle ran off the road and into the gutter after one of its tires blew. A male passenger appears to have a broken leg and other injures. About three people were on board. The other occupants of the vehicle received minor injuries.

UPDATE ON MILLENNIUM HIGHWAY ACCIDENT: The driver of a car that crashed near the tunnels on the Millennium Highway earlier tonight, March 22, did not suffer any injuries. The front of the car was however extensively damaged. We understand that the car skid on gravel, careened off the road and landed in a drain. Drivers are being warned to drive carefully on this route highway because of the gravel.

No reports of fatalities but an eyewitness told our newsroom that a man was seen wearing a neck brace and he also appeared to have a broken leg. Two fire trucks and an ambulance were on the scene.
