Saint Lucia’s Under-15 football team is currently in the Cayman Islands to participate in an inaugural CONCACAF U-15 tournament.

The 18-member squad is said to be in good spirits with players “working intently” with their coaches.

Their first match is scheduled for today, Tuesday August 13, 2013 against Belize at 4:30 p.m. (Cayman time) or 5:30 p.m. St. Lucia time.

The CONCACAF tournament will extend to August 26, 2013 but the local team is scheduled to return home on August 22, 2013.

Headed by Staphen Regis, the squad arrived in the Cayman Islands on Sunday evening after leaving St. Lucia on Saturday afternoon and spending a night in Antigua.

They will compete in Group B, which also comprises of the Jamaica, Belize and Grenada teams. Dominican Republic was also in that grouping but dropped out of the competition.

Others who traveled with the team are Techincal Director Cyril Podd, Coach Cassim Louis and Manager Timothy Moffat.
