Four Saint Lucians competed in the annual Sportworld Bodybuilding and Fitness Classic was staged at the Dr Jao Havelange Centre of Excellence in Macoya, Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday.

Monisa Aleong of Trindad and Tobago won the Body Figure and Bodyfitness Open categories, the latter ahead of Cleopatra Carti of St Maarten and Marina Jn Pierre of Saint Lucia.

Denver Williams took third place in the men’s physique category. St George Prospere was seventh in his divison, and Orville James finished 13th.

“I would like to commend all the athletes on a job well done,” said team manager, Monica Dudley. “Congratulations especially to Denver. It was his first time competing in an overseas championship, and he was very impressive.”

The Saint Lucian bodybuilders will be preparing next for two competitions in November, including a local show and the Darcy Beckles Classic in Barbados.
