Two men arrested during an eradication exercise

On Saturday 8th September 2012, about 6: 30am, Officers attached to the Soufriere Police Station conducted an eradication exercise at Zenon, Soufriere.
During the exercise a total of One Thousand Five Hundred (1500) grown Marijuana plants were destroyed in addition to Two (200) Hundred Seedlings.
Two men were arrested on the plantation. They are Elijah Severin of Industry, Choiseul and Christopher Edward of Goodlands, Castries.
Both men were charged for the offences of Possession of a Controlled Drug, Possession with the Intent to Supply a Controlled Drug and Cultivation of a Controlled Drug.
They appeared before the court on Monday 10th September, 2012 to answer to the said charges.
