Two individuals were arrested, ‘dangerous’ weapons seized, and four vehicles impounded during a Gros Islet police operation on Monday, November 4, Police Press Office Ann Joseph has said.

Joseph told reporters at a press briefing on Tuesday, November 5 that the operation stemmed from the stabbing of a 20-year-old La Clery, Castries resident.

The stabbing victim has been identified as Sauve Walcott, according to law enforcement sources.

Walcott was stabbed multiple times while standing near the Gros Islet Catholic Church. He was attending the funeral of a motorcycle accident victim when he was attacked, according to reports.

He is currently in stable condition, according to reports. No one has been arrested.

Joseph said the two motorcycles were seized, seven ‘dangerous’ weapons seized such as knives and scissors, and four tickets issued.
