(PRESS RELEASE) – Trinity Lutheran Church located in beautiful Bisee will begin midweek worship starting on Wednesday February 14th at 6:30 PM.
Worship during the season of Lent will last every Wednesday until Holy Week. The theme for worship this year is “Jesus Christ Our Great High Priest.” The topics will include transformation, perfection, compassion, sacrifice and greatness.
Palm Sunday beings the worship schedule for Holy week. Palm Sunday worship will be on Sunday March 25th at 9:00 AM. Holy Thursday Worship will be on Thursday, March 29th at 6:30 PM. Good Friday worship will begin at noon on Friday March 30th. Easter Worship celebration and fellowship will round off the week at 9:00 AM on Sunday April 1st.
Trinity Lutheran Church is offering everyone a chance to worship even if their work schedule does not allow. IN a tourist based economy where weekends are often not days off, they are encouraging people to stop by on their way home from work to connect.
“It has become fashionable to attack people’s beliefs especially with the advent of the internet and social media sites such as Facebook. In today’s world, everyone writes their own set of beliefs and if you don’t agree, then anyone is able to post something derogatory on the internet about it. To be honest, we are living in a more god filled world than ever before. Everyone has become their own church and they preach it on the internet.” says Pastor Tom Spiegelberg.
“So I think that is why more than ever, people are looking for something that is higher than themselves… a belief system that is bigger than what any one person can create. For people still looking for something bigger than themselves to believe in, the Bible offers an anchor for faith… for belief. Our midweek worship leading up to Easter is just a short way to connect again with something that is timeless and changeless. It’s refreshing in a fast paced society.”
Trinity Lutheran Church and preschool offer Christian worship, education and fellowship for those seeking to find a church home to belong.
