(PRESS RELEASE) – On Monday December 11th, Trinity Christian Early Childhood Centre will be hosting their second annual Christmas Benefit concert entitled “A Gift of Love.”

Trinity Lutheran Church in beautiful Bisee serves at the venue for the event beginning at 4:30 PM.  The cost of tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

The concert will feature several up and coming soloists reminding us of the reason for the Christmas season.  The children from the Entrepot Daycare will be putting on a play.  The Bonne Terre Prep School will be offering a musical number. The TLC ECDC preschoolers will be performing a song and dance focusing on the birth of Christ. Members of the Trinity Lutheran band will be accompanying with steel pan and live music. One of Trinity Christian’s very own preschool teachers will be dancing a salsa number to brighten up the Christmas season.

The proceeds will go towards the Sallapudi Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Evodia Cassius, the Centre’s director says, “Preschool education is more than just babysitting.  We now know that the first 5 years of a child’s life are such formative years in the learning process, that they become the building blocks for all other learning.  We must make this education accessible to everyone.  This is why we promote a scholarship program. All children need access to this vital period of education in their life. ”  Recipients of the scholarship attest to the importance of quality early childhood education.  One member of the community after singing the praises of the school, commented that the education from TLC ECDC was the reason her child was able to get into the school that they had wanted.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
