Trinidadian football officials to assist SLFA establish elite youth centre

The St. Luca Football Association (SLFA) will be hosting Graham Rix of England and Norris Fergurson of Trinidad and Tobago, coach and manager of Central FC of Trinidad & Tobago, respectively, on Saturday, December 8, 2012 to assist the SLFA in establishing an Elite Centre for training players between the ages of 12-18.

The aim of the Centre is to provide training to improve the physical, technical and tactical ability of all players who demonstrate potential for attending trials for professional teams and to also create a pool of tactically-sound players for our national teams. As a result, those two individuals, the coach and the manager of Central FC, will visit St. Lucia and are scheduled to arrive on Saturday, December 8, 2012 to depart on Monday, December 10, 2012.

President of the St. Luca Football Association Lyndon Cooper said: “The visit of the two individuals to St. Lucia is all part of the redevelopment plan for the Association, and to foster a mutual relationship between the St. Luca Football Association (SLFA) and Central FC.”

The trial session has been slated to take place on Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 9 am to 1 pm at the SAB playing Field, and on Sunday, December 9 at the Dames playing field.

The St. Lucia Football Association is advising all participants to make a necessary effort to be on time.
