Trinidad: Trincity woman beaten to death with 2X4 wood

(TRINIDAD GUARDIAN) – A Guyanese man re­mains in po­lice cus­tody fol­low­ing a do­mes­tic killing on Sun­day af­ter­noon.

The 52-year-old who lives at East­ern Main Road, El Do­ra­do sur­ren­dered to of­fi­cers min­utes af­ter the dead­ly al­ter­ca­tion with the vic­tim Nicole Hack­shaw.

Around 3.50 pm on Feb­ru­ary 21, it was re­port­ed that Hack­shaw and the sus­pect were in­volved in a fight at the sus­pect’s apart­ment.

Of­fi­cers at the scene re­port­ed that up­on ar­rival, they ob­served the sus­pect stand­ing in a door­way with blood-splat­tered cloth­ing.

Af­ter mak­ing cer­tain state­ments to the of­fi­cers, the sus­pect al­leged­ly point­ed to a room in the house and fol­low­ing a search, they found Hack­shaw ly­ing on the ground with wounds to the face. She lived at Kiskadee Dri­ve, Trinci­ty.

A piece of two-by-four cov­ered in blood was found next to the body.
