(TRINIDAD GUARDIAN) – A Guyanese man remains in police custody following a domestic killing on Sunday afternoon.
The 52-year-old who lives at Eastern Main Road, El Dorado surrendered to officers minutes after the deadly altercation with the victim Nicole Hackshaw.
Around 3.50 pm on February 21, it was reported that Hackshaw and the suspect were involved in a fight at the suspect’s apartment.
Officers at the scene reported that upon arrival, they observed the suspect standing in a doorway with blood-splattered clothing.
After making certain statements to the officers, the suspect allegedly pointed to a room in the house and following a search, they found Hackshaw lying on the ground with wounds to the face. She lived at Kiskadee Drive, Trincity.
A piece of two-by-four covered in blood was found next to the body.
Investigations are continuing.
