(TRINIDAD EXPRESS) – A woman was chopped and her house set on fire in St Helena this morning.
It happened at around 7 a.m.
The suspect, a coconut vendor, attacked the woman during an argument that involved their twin daughters.
The woman was chopped several times with a cutlass, police said.
She fled her attacker who set fire to the house at Main Road.
Fire and police officers of the Central Division responded.
The woman was taken to hospital where she was said to be undergoing emergency treatment.
