Trinidad: Alleged child-killer held by police

(TRINIDAD GUARDIAN) – A suspect wanted for the murder of a one-year-old-male child whose human remain was found at a sand road off the Toco Main Road was arrested in an abandoned beach house yesterday afternoon.

Reports indicate that a party of police officers from Sangre Grande Police Station led by Senior Superintendent Aguilal and officers from CID and Task Force went to Manzanilla around 5:30 pm where they surrounded an abandoned beach house.

The police announced their presence and called out to the suspect. He did not respond and a search was carried out.

He was found hiding behind a wall lying on the ground weak and dehydrated.

He was arrested by police and rushed to the Sangre Grande Hospital where he is being medically attended to under police guard.
