Traditional kite-making workshop at SALCC


The CREOLE HERITAGE CLUB of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College will be staging a TRADITIONAL KITE- MAKING workshop where SALCC students will learn the art of making traditional St. Lucian kites.

To this end, veteran kite maker, Mr. Samuel Mc Clean has been invited to animate this kite-making session at the College, where he will demonstrate and share his expertise in this almost forgotten and abandoned tradition.

This activity is also in celebration of St. Lucia’s Independence anniversary as the students will be building kites in the colours of our National Flag for flying on Independence Day.
