PRESS RELEASE – Just days after its recently held press launch at Sandals Halcyon, Toxik Carnival unveiled its entire 2016 costume collection last week Sunday at the Rudy John Beach Park in Laborie.

Celebrating nine years this year, the Carnival entity portrayed ‘’The Uprising’’, a theme which is inspired by the evolution and rebranding of the band.

The portrayal featured six sexy yet conservative sections, namely; Rebirth, Uprising, Ultimate Victory, Resurrection, Defiance and Breaking Dawn.   

Toxik’s Bandleader Mr. Gareth Jules says “… The move launch in the south of the island was strategic, given that National Carnival Bands focus and cater to persons solely in the north.

Mr. Jules notes breaking such trend will certainly encompass the southern districts, hence making them an integral part of the national event as well.

“We wish to thank the hundreds who turned out and contributed to making the event a huge success. We assure revelers that this year will be great as we dare to be different.
