Tourist arrivals from northeast and mid-west US market down for a boost

Tourism Director Louis Lewis is optimistic about increased visits from northeast and mid-west U.S airport gateways, due to additional winter season flights to the island by JetBlue Airways.

This will be a non-stop service from Boston’s Logan International Airport to the Hewanorra International Airport every Saturday starting on November 1. It will provide connection to U.S cities in the northeast and to major Canadian gateways of Ottawa and Quebec.

“This expanded partnership with JetBlue helps make Saint Lucia even more accessible for travelers from many of the island’s major gateways in the northeast and mid-west, as well as provide added convenience for connections with a number of new markets,” Lewis stated in a press release.

JetBlue winter flight schedule is as follows: Depart Logan International Airport on Saturdays at 9:45 a.m., arriving at Hewanorra at 3:29 p.m.; return flights on Saturdays will depart Saint Lucia at 4:25 p.m. and are scheduled to arrive in Boston at 8:40 p.m.

Flight bookings can be made at www.jetblue.com.
