PRESS RELEASE – Forty persons from the south of the island attended a presentation-of-certificates ceremony at the Vieux-Fort Post Secondary Department on Friday, August 14, 2015.
Participants attended a Customer Care Service (hospitality) workshop which commenced on July 6, 2015. The workshop was organised and sponsored by Tough Man Security Services Ltd.
Managing Director of Tough Man Security, Gervin Rickson Auguste, says the workshop catered for unemployed persons and was totally free of charge. He noted that the objective of the workshop was to make participants more attractive to employers and to equip participants with the necessary skills required to confidently manage high levels of customer service.
Mr Auguste believes that St. Lucia, being a country that depends so heavily on tourism, excellent customer service is imperative.
The facilitators of the workshop included the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Tourism, Division of Human Services, Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa, Pius Benjamin (American Heart Association) and many business and educational professionals.
The workshop received the full support of the Hon. Lorne Theophilus – minister of tourism, who also endorsed the programme.
