PRESS RELEASE – On Friday February 19th, the TLC Early Childhood Education Centre in beautiful Bisee will be holding its second annual Independence Day rally beginning at 9:30 AM.
The program will include prayers and devotion for the nation. A guest speaker representing St Lucian culture will be speaking to the children and guests. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.
Teacher Sabina Immanuel spoke of the importance of developing national pride in our children. “Activities like these in our schools are important because the children both learn about their country and learn to love their country. If this is where God wants us to be, then we should be proud of who we are. And it has to start when they are this age.”
Other Independence Day events at Trinity Lutheran church and TLC Early Childhood Education Centre include an all day prayer vigil on Thursday February 18th. Thursday has been designated by the Ministry of Social Transformation as a national Day of Prayer. The public is invited to join in prayers for the nation every hour on the hour between the hours of 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
Rev. Jason Richards will be preaching at the Trinity Lutheran Church Sunday morning service at 9:00 AM and giving a presentation afterward. Rev. Richards has served i Antigua at St. John’s Lutheran Church and School for the past 10 years.
Trinity Lutheran Church also holds midweek Lenten services leading up to mark on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM. The public in encouraged to attend any or all of the activities.
