Tim Mangal, golf pro at the Saint Lucia Golf and Country Club, is now the man at the helm of the Saint Lucia Golf Association, SLGA.
The SLGA held its annual general meeting earlier this month at the Golf Club in Cap Estate, Gros Islet. Outgoing president, Trevor Cozier, opted against seeking re-election.
Mangal, who has been involved in golf for over 30 years, most of them as a golf insructor, had previously sought election to the SLGA executive, but had failed to attain a seat in years prior.
This time around, he leads a new-look leadership group that retains but one member of the executive to which they are the immediate successors.
Naveen Urs takes over as vice president, whilst Joan Paul retained her position as secretary of the SLGA.
Kerwin JnBaptiste is the new treasurer, whereas Debra Ross has been voted in as club captain, and Milton McKenzie and Kevin White will serve as floor representatives.
