Tigers Roar, Challengers win in Table Tennis League

Defending Champions Genuine Parts World Tigers fought to the wire to defeat Total Auto Dragons 3 -2 in the latest round of action, as the National Table Tennis Premier League continues.

Tigers were up against it early on, as Dragons’ Bertlan Shepherd whitewashed Franklin Noel 3-0. Faith Stanislaus restored the balance by beating Derek Destang 3-0.

The doubles, which was keenly contested, saw Tigers getting the better of Dragons 3-2.  Shepherd then fought back from being down 2 sets  to win 3-2 over Faith Stanislaus, again levelling the match.

In the decisive rubber, Franklin Noel outplayed Derek Destang to win 3-1. The most outstanding player was Bertlan Shepherd from Total Auto Dragons.

Team Challengers won 3-2 over Veteran Jaguars. Adrian Albert cruised to a 3-0 win over Vandyke Jude, but Jaguars’ Teddy Matthews answered with an equally impressive victory over Chris Hippolyte 3-0.

Experience showed in the doubles event as team Veteran Jaguars shocked the Challengers in an exciting game to win 3-2.

With the momentum on the side of the Veterans, Adrian Albert went into attack mode as he won over Teddy Matthews 3-0. All-out attacking from Chris Hippolyte allowed him to overcome Vandyke Jude 3-0. Adrian Albert was the most outstanding player of the match.
