A new chairman has been appointed to the board of The Saint Lucia National Insurance Corporation (NIC), following the resignations of its Chairman Anthony Isaac and Deputy Chairman Frank Mayers within days of the Allen Chastanet Administration’s defeat at the 26th of July 2021 general elections.
Everistus Jn Marie, a former Chairman of the NIC under the last Labour Administration, has been re-appointed Chairman of the NIC Board. Mr. Jn Marie brings with him a wealth of experience, having served at management and policy setting levels in local, regional and international organizations. Jn Marie has served on the board of several statutory bodies in Saint Lucia and is a former Independent Senator of the Saint Lucia Senate and Chair of the ACP-EU Parliamentary Assembly (Economic and Political Committees). He also served as a Commissioner of Regional Judicial Legal services Commission (RJLC) of the Caribbean Court of Justice, a body responsible for appointing senior Staff and Judges of the Court.
Jn Marie is currently the Managing Director of Jn Marie & Sons Ltd. He holds a Masters Degree in Project Management, from the University of Salford, Manchester, England.
