The contestants for the 2013 Miss Gros Islet Carnival Queen Pageant were officially revealed to the public Friday night (June 7) at the weekly Gros Islet Street Party.
Dubbed the “Captivating 8”, the contestants are: Charlene Mohammed, Shirlian Phillip, Shauna Menald, Novella St. Juste, Endy William, Janel Pierre, Kadijha Mason, and Velma Soody. Six of the eight contestants were present during the launch on Friday.
The pageant is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at a venue to be announced soon.
Friday night also saw the launch of new costume Carnival band, “Intrigue”.
