TEPA to host Digital Marketing Symposium as part of ICT Week 2015

tepaPRESS RELEASE – The Saint Lucia Trade Export Promotion Agency (TEPA) in collaboration with Caribbean Regional Communications Infrastructure Program (CARCIP) will be hosting a Digital Marketing Symposium on August 11 from 8:30am to 3:30pm at the Public Service Training Institute (formerly Spinners).

TEPA has recognized the need for proper, professional and attractive digital representation/marketing for its clients in the market place. It was thought that many of Saint Lucia’s businesses did not measure-up to their regional and international counterparts/competition where digital online media is concerned.

The objective of the Symposium is to enlighten manufacturers, exporters, business owners and other interested persons on digital and online media best practices and also to create the opportunity for them to upgrade their efforts to international standards. This symposium will bring together, in one room, digital online media/marketing professionals and the businesses and individuals who need their assistance.

The online media professionals will make presentations on an area of digital marketing that could be useful to exporters. The presentations will educate attendees on best practices and new and upcoming trends. They will also give free assessments of attendee’s online presence (websites, social media, blogs, branding) during Business to Business meetings. They will also offer free advice and possibly their services with viable affordable solutions to attendees.

TEPA Chief Executive Officer, Mrs Jacqueline Emmanuel-Flood says that “In this world where virtual has become reality, we cannot overemphasize the importance of cyber space and the online presence of Saint Lucian businesses. Through this Symposium we hope to educate and also create the environment to encourage the attendees to do more than dabble in online media, but to ensure that their presence is attractive, relevant and professional”.
