PRESS RELEASE – The VI Stage of the North America, Central and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) Beach Volleyball Circuit scheduled for Pigeon Island Gros Islet, has been met with great excitement and interest by Teams across the Confederation.
Organizers have had to limit the Male Division to only one team per country and so sixteen Nations will be represented, not even host country St. Lucia was able to get a second team in.
In the Ladies Division only Trinidad and Tobago, Canada and St. Lucia are able to field two teams so thirteen countries will participate in the sixteen pool event.
Meanwhile, the Association is pleased to confirm that Climax, Sandals, Bay Gardens Resorts, KFC, DG Chicken, Caribbean Metals, the SSDF and K-Bees have all come on board to support the event.
They join perennial sponsors ECFH, Du Boulay’s Bottling Company, LUCELEC, St. Lucia National Trust and the NCA to help the St. Lucia Volleyball Association once again execute world class sports tourism event.
The Ministry of Youth Development and Sports, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries and the St. Lucia Tourist Board continue to be the trio of presenting sponsors. A number of other sponsors are being courted to chip in along with a number of other friends of volleyball to make this event possible.
USA, Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent, Antigua, Grenada, USVI, French St. Martin, Anguilla, Dominica, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Barbados and St. Lucia are all registered to compete in one or both divisions. Pan American Male Beach Volleyball Champions Mexico (Lombardo Ontiveros and Juan Virgen) will be in St. Lucia seeking to continue the dominating play in the NORCECA 2015 Circuit.
The Association is putting in place final arrangements as officials and players will start arriving as early as Tuesday next week for the Sixth Stage of the NORCECA 2015 Tour.
