Team St. Lucia off to ECGA golf championships

Looking to rebound from a pretty ordinary performance at last year’s competition, the Saint Lucia Golf Association has selected a 12-member team to represent the island in the 2014 Eastern Caribbean Golf Association Championships.

The ECGA tilt will be hosted in St John’s, Antigua-Barbuda this weekend, 4-5 October. The team leaves today, to do battle with its regional neighbours.

The men’s team comprises Romania Inglis, Canice Louie, Cliff Alcide and Simon Reyes. The women’s team includes Joan Paul, Debra Ross and Marissa Groenwald.

The seniors division will be contested by Alex Blanchard, Kent Glace and Paul Marshal, the latter replacing McHale Andrew.

And the super seniors contingent will be Brad Paul and Keith Woodhouse.

In 2013, Saint Lucia did not win any of the categories in team or individual play.
