This “extraordinary” national general meeting starts at 10 a.m. at the National Cultural Centre.
According to a bulletin, members of the general council are being asked to meet at 9:30 am at the National Cultural Centre.
Civil servants, through the Trade Union Federation, have rejected government’s four-percent wage increase. On several occasions, some civil servants, including teachers and firemen, have staged a sick out in protest of government’s hardline stance in not budging on its offer.
The government argues that is unable to afford more than four percent due to the economic challenges it is facing.
