PRESS RELEASE – Auxillary workers employed with Tapion Hospital will on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 participate in a secret ballot. This is as a result of a recognition claim made on behalf of the employees by the National Workers Union (NWU).
The secret ballot will be supervised by the Department of Labour. Each employee will be given the necessary time off to participate in the secret ballot exercise, which, upon completion will bring closure to the recognition issue one way or another.
The NWU already represents some clerical, medical and technical workers employed with the hospital.
