Suspension of services at the Civil Status Registry and Office of the Adjudicator

(PRESS RELEASE) – The Civil Status Registry and the Office of the Adjudicator wishes to inform the public that an electrical fault was experienced today, Tuesday, December 5, 2017 which has impacted the computers of the Department, and by extension impeded the normal operations of both offices.

The Fire Service was summoned and is currently undertaking an investigation into the situation.

The Civil Status Registry and the Office of the Adjudicator will therefore remain closed for the remainder of today Tuesday, December 5, until investigations are satisfactorily concluded. The Ministry of Home Affairs, Justice and National Security extends its apologies to the public for any inconvenience caused.

An update on this situation will be provided as soon as possible. Please be guided accordingly.
